Wave Solder
There is no faster, more reliable, and inexpensive method of soldering through-hole components than the wave solder process. A good wave solder machine applies the right amount of flux, heat and solder to create perfect solder joints. Since the molten wave of solder contacts the entire board surface, tooling is needed to protect components or board areas that are sensitive to heat or solder. Ascentec Engineering specializes in selective wave solder fixtures that enable you to take advantage of the quality and cost effective benefits of wave solder on assemblies that require thermal or solder protection. Beyond protecting wave side components or board areas, Ascentec Engineering is also concerned about the components on the top of the assembly. Proper alignment of connectors, LEDs, or heat sinks can be effectively accomplished through specialized top side tooling that integrates with the wave solder pallet. Tell us your problem areas; chances are our engineering team has seen it before and has a proven solution for you. Dedicated wave solder pallets are the best tooling solution to achieve the highest quality and lowest costs. However, in low volume environments with assemblies that are odd shaped, a universal wave solder fixture can be useful. These fixtures adjust to the size of each board, and they offer excellent flexibility.
